Re: New Photos
Here is one of the outhouses that existed prior to the flush generation. It still is in remarkably good shape. Shows that they built them well way back when.

Remember the green ones? Two separate tiny buildings for men and women...I still have nightmares about them

Re: New Photos
I believe there are some remnants to the old CCC camp just off behind where the old dumping station is. It is mostly overgrown now but we use to hunt for snakes back there. Wonder if any antique bottles can be found there? A couple years ago we found a bunch of torpedo bottles off the picnic area.

Re: New Photos
I'll have to check that area out this spring. Surprised I haven't done so in the past.

Re: New Photos
I was wandering once off the rock bike trail and found an old water pump building. It had huge tanks inside.

Re: New Photos
Don't forget that the maintenance storage building up behind the new dump station is the only remaining intact building from the CCC cam.
When you exit the dump station, there is a service road on your left blocked by a gate. The maintenance area is up there. There are dozens of old small dumpsters, and even more old fiberglass or plastic one-holers in the woods around the building. Lots of other "treasures" back in there.
