Ivy Lea Campground - Rockport, Ontario

If you like to camp by the water, and love the St Lawence, then Ivy Lea Campground may be for you! It's a great little place, actually quite large with 107 sites. 90 regular sites and 17 premium waterfront sites. Waterfront have no hookups however, and the 'real' washroom facilities are a bit of a walk. Some of the VERY experienced Ivy Lea campers are very innovative and efficient when getting some trailers on rather difficult sites, since there are hills and various obstacles to deal with on many sites. More suited to tents or smaller trailers/popups on the waterfront. Other areas are fine for even the largest rigs. On the plus side though, if you do get one of the premium waterfront sites you'll have a great view, with access for your boat/canoe/kayak right smack in the middle of the most scenic area of the 1000 islands.

Our site, 104 was just big enough for our teardrop without having to worry about it falling over the edge, however this site is actually designed for up to a 24 Ft trailer!

Cost however was $47.24 Cdn per night after taxes (no hookups). More than double a prime site at Fish Creek and that was without washrooms close by either.

A few shots.

I am NOT a fan of bridges... had a great view of one though for 24 hours! lol
