New Screen Room

Postby Robert L » Mon Jun 29, 2015 4:25 am

We are looking to purchase a stand alone screen tent for our trip(s) to FCP, so we may sit outside during the evening and not get eaten alive. I saw the "Clam" screen tents and they look nice, fast to put up and take down.

How many of you use screen tents to avoid the little nasty buggers, and what do you use?

Well we have our screen kitchen tent, it's either a woods or a coleman, We use both brands, it's a 12-12, so it's perfect..But looking to buy a larger eureka, but those are quite pricey, so waiting for sales end of season..Hopefully

We used it in June on cool days and it was easily warmed by some sun. There is room for a picnic table and two zero gravity chairs set up, along with room to store some things. It's nice as you can put just a few sides down for privacy.

Hi. We have this one (as above, not cheap): ... -w-awnings
The beauty of this one is that you can get a rainfly and even a floor so it will be as watertight as a tent. In addition you can play with the awnings in multiple configurations. We camp at Rollins and to tell the truth we have rarely closed it off because of the bugs.
