Nice!

Wow! Nice rig! We just "visited" our tt last weekend before the dealer put it to bed for us. Part of the deal was free winter storage. I must admit though, the Airstream appears top notch! Congratulations. We are thinking of making our first trip the weekend of the Spring Tear Up. I'm cons...

test message

In my orininal post I included a link to a pictures page. I would have rather included a small pic in the posting so I thought I would give it a try. If it doesn't work, I apologize in advance!!

A reunion page?

One idea that just occurred to me is what about having a reunion section of the website? I know there are people I have met in the past that I would like to get in touch with after all of these years. Maybe we could have a little area to post a "would like to contact ----. Met them at Fish Cree...

I would try the camper out now but part of the deal included free storage till spring! BTW, it's 28'... I hope it's not too big. I would have preferred something slightly smaller but the wife and daughter voted otherwise. After posting the original message I followed the link myself and found that e...

waiting for spring already

Well, after finding my long lost love (FCP) once again, we have been bitten by the camping bug in a big way. We just purchased our first travel trailer and can't wait for spring. It's going to be a very, very, long winter but if you see us in the spring stop in and say hi! We'll be the people who lo...

skiing santa

Dave: I spoke too soon... after asking another family member they reminded me that we did see a skiing Santa when we were younger. To be more precise... a skiing Santa ringing a bell. I know it couldn't be the same person but maybe a family member carried on the tradition. Is this yet another tradit...

I haven't seen them yet. I guess that will give me something to look forward to this summer!

FCP History

My history only goes back one generation to the early/mid 70's. I remember going to Fish Creek with my family every summer when I was in my teens. They are some of the best memories. Thjis summer I returned after being away from FCP for many years. Now I'm not sure how I stayed away so long. A very ...

deer hunting

Speaking of deer hunting.... After driving home from Fish Creek and seeing all of the deer around Old Forge, I was happy they stayed where they belong. Unfortunately, the very next day we left our house and a doe decided to commit suicide.... right into the side of my wifes nice new car! What a mess...

NYS Campground Trivia

While looking at the NY DEC brochure on their website; http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/do/camping/campgrounds/brochure.pdf I noticed a bit of trivia... only one site out of the 52 listed DEC campgrounds is open for camping in November. Care to guess which one? I wonder why that is!? Considering t...

Fall Visit

We woke up this morning and something motivated us to take a drive to Fish Creek for the day. It's a long drive (130 miles) but I have never been there outside of the traditional summer camping months. It was well worth the visit! The weather was fantastic and the ride was beautiful. As we were leav...
