Cayuga State Park

Postby schemer » Sun Mar 06, 2016 7:45 pm

Does anyone know what the campgrounds and lake is like? I read somewhere that the weeds were bad (a few years ago). I couldn't find recent reviews. We like to boat, swim and fish.

thanks

Weeds are all dependent on how the year was but I have never had a problem with them. The main part of the lake is always open. Good fishing down near Taughannock falls park. Sit over 100 ft bottoms and drop egg sacks down to the thermocline or bottom for lake trout. Try to get a site on the lake side of the road, less problematic. Also may want to give Sampson park on Seneca a try

I'll have photos of all the campsites at Cayuga on the website soon. Sampson are already there.
