Higley Flow Photo Database

Considering going to Higley Flow State Park, northwest of the Adirondack Park near Colton, NY? This is a nice gem for those to the north, or those coming from Ontario or Quebec. It is short on waterside sites, but offers some nice waterways, easily accessible for fishing, paddling, swimming and boating.

Features 135 campsites, 11 are directly (or have pathways down to) on the water. 862 photos of all the campsites are now available at http://campadk.com/campsitephotos.html? ... igley+Flow

This have a variety of cross country ski trails in winter too. The local colleges train there.

I forgot to add, not far from Higley is Blake campground, owned by National Grid power. There is a series of power dams upstream, kayaking on the bodies of water, Blake is the one with a traditional campground. Many of those sites are on the water. I haven't been there in years. They didn't used to have electric sites, but I think they may have added some. About 50 sites. Further upstream is Cary reservoir. Actually, a very small campground there, Parmenter, , 16 sites, limited resources. Many go there to fish, its a big body of water. Not much info online when I googled, but the contact number is 315-262-2640. Townofcolton.com
