Considering going to Northampton Beach Campground on Great Sacandaga Lake northeast of Schenectady and just outside the Adirondack Park? This is a great spot for lakeside camping trip, great for boating, paddling, fishing, hiking or swimming at the beach.

Features 221 campsites with 61 prime waterfront sites as well, many with great views! The shorelines are mainly sandy. It is important however to consider water levels. At times some sites are flooded when water levels are high. At other times the water in the bays may have receded. The Great Sacandaga is a reservoir and as such the water level is controlled so the water level can vary significantly over the course of the season. In spring and early summer, some areas are not reservable as many of the sites are typically under water.

1841 Photos of 221 campsites are now available at

Northampton beach is one of my favorite location for camping, for making peaceful time and photography also. I am a Port Macquarie Photographer and love to capture beach photos, especially, Northampton beach.
