Fishing in Rollins Pond

Postby Rollins Camper » Mon Aug 11, 2014 11:42 pm

I have been camping and fishing at Rollins Pond for 55 years. For the past few years I have been catching a fish that looks much like a creek chub. Has this species been intentionally introduced? Has anyone ever caught a lake trout at Rollins? I caught some nice bass this year, but no Northern Pike. Anyone else have any luck??

Those chub looking fish are called Fallfish. They are common up in the ADK's and other areas of Northern NY.

Have not caught any trout in Rollins. Mostly concentrate on Bass and Panfish.

Thanks for the info. I have always been tempted to slice them up for bait. i don't know how they were introduced into Rollins. like I said, they were never present when I was a kid many years ago.
