Water Tap Locations

Postby Tim Mudge » Thu Apr 28, 2011 3:39 pm

Looking at Site 54
Click for more info!

thru 72 { on the point } water tapS :watertap: are listed as n/a. If you look at the "a" section { off water } you
will find water taps :watertap: at : Site A3
Click for more info!

, A12 & A17 . These water taps :watertap: are spread out pretty well, & cover the entire " point " area.
Would it be much trouble to update the chart for future campers. Last time I was there, I stayed away from this area
due to what I thought was a lack of water. I had pre-printed out the water :watertap: & restroom :outhouse: locations, trying to stay close to each.
Of course it was after Labor Day and on a first come, first serve basis. Did :rangerjane: let me down, or was she just unaware ? LOL
Cheers, Until we met again

I checked in with Ranger Jill (Ranger Jane isn't as knowledgeable  ). She offered up...

Water taps with drinkable (potable) water are available every 3 or 4 sites, including:

1, 3, 5, 9, 13, 19, 23, 27, 32, 36, 38, 42, 45, 48, 79, 83,

88, 94, 97, 100, 104, 107, 114, 118, 122, 125, 131, 134,

140, 142, 148, 155, 159, 176, 178, 181, 186, 192, 198, 203,

208, 214, 219, 226, 230, 237, 243, 249, 255, 261, 266, 270,

275, 279, 282, 286, 293, 299, 303, A1, A4, A5, A8, A12,

A15, A17, A19, A20

Note: Do not wash your dishes under the water spigots!

She is correct. The campsite guide database however is not setup to handle the issue of the water taps within the peninsula loop due to the location concept I have programmed, and thus so 'n/a' as in 'not available (info)'. Washrooms are managed correctly, but not taps (currently). Let me see about fixing that up here... appreciate you bring that issue up Tim!

Thanks

Water taps will now show for Peninsula campsites (Campsite Guide, Campsite Photos, Campers Toolkit).

Select-a-Site doesn't use the newer database so it won't have that info. I'll either be upgrading it or removing that function altogether. Not sure yet.

Hey ya Dave, when your at the Tear up in June, could you do me a favor ? Take a look at the " C " sites, Ranger Jane :rangerjane:
tells me the closest water taps are in the " A " section. It's been many years since I camped on the creek, but we { FCP'ers }
all know that there are closer water taps on either sides of the Bridge. I know you will have nothing to do :bored: (LOL), so I thought maybe I
could get you to pedel on over & check it out.
Cheers, Until we met again

Sounds more like a logic program. She knows were the taps are. I'll have a little talk with her
