Thanks for letting me join and I have to say this website is one of the most informative for a campground I have seen. We are regular campers and stay in mostly state parks. This year we decided to buy a boat so when I saw the opportunity to take my boat camping I was sold. We will be staying in Site 175

over Labor Day weekend so from what I have read we should be able to pull our boat to the campsite. I just have a couple questions.

1. Are there any restaurants we can access from the lake to get a lunch or dinner?

2. Since my girlfriend is not comfortable driving a truck with a trailer on the skinny camp road and also doesn't like driving the boat in unfamiliar areas, can we park the truck at the launch until we drive the boat to our campsite and then walk back to the truck? (I am hoping by the time we get there she will be more comfortable with one or the other)

3. Any particular place to catch the sunset?

Welcome Kevin!

There are no places to eat on any of the connected waterways.

Site 175

works well for a boat.

You cannot leave your vehicle and boat trailer at the boat launch. Ask a friend to help?

You can watch sunsets right from the ponds (the narrows is a good spot) or head out onto Upper Saranac.

Cheers!

You could leave equipment, temporarily, at the amphitheater if you had to, or at the overflow area by the check-in booth. The boat launch is at Site 35

and the amphitheater area starts at about Site 50

Thanks. As a beginner boater I am excited to combine our favorite activities and explore a new area.
