Invasive Species are degrading Fish Creek Ponds Public Campgrounds water quality

Milfoil is degrading Fish Creek Ponds Public Campgrounds water quality[/youtube], its recreational value, and has the potential to do the same to Upper Saranac Lake. The ability to enjoy clean, weed-free, water- based recreation is being threatened.
For this reason, the Upper Saranac Foundation (USF) in cooperation with the Paul Smith’s College Adirondack Watershed Institute is looking to expand its successful aquatic invasive species (AIS) hand-harvesting program to Fish Creek Ponds, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP. The USF along with the Adirondack Foundation has created a crowd funding campaign with the intent of targeting a large number of people to support this effort. This is only a small part of the funding effort, but is important to get the word out to a large number of donors who can make small contributions.
Please consider making a donation of any size ($5, $10, $20 or any amount). The goal is to reach $4,000 in this campaign. Also, please share our funding campaign with all that you know who enjoy the waters of the Saranac Lake Watershed.
