Rail Explorers USA - unique and fun activity

Postby Rail Explorers USA » Sun Jun 28, 2015 9:13 am

Hi Campers. Rail Explorers USA are offering Railbike rides along the old railroad track between Lake Clear Junction and Saranac Lake. Come and ride the rails on our Railbikes for the first time in the USA! Check out our facebook page at http://www.Facebook.com/RailExplorersUSA or our website http://www.railexplorers.net
For group bookings (10 or more) we can do a shuttle bus pickup at the camp grounds to and from Charlie's Inn at Lake Clear. Or there is plenty of parking at Charlie's Inn.
We look forward to seeing you on the rails over the summer! Book now as seats are filling fast.
Thanks!
The Rail Explorers Team.

Did the tour yesterday. What a fun trip!
The staff are friendly and give great instructions to keep everyone safe. The experience is amazing. We were on a quad bike and got it going to 20mph! So fun!
Just a FYI, the journey from Lake Clear to Saranac Lake is more downhill, so less pedalling to do. Absolutely a great outing for all abilities.
They are running up to and including the labour say weekend, they would like to run for a few weeks into the fall. That would be a amazing way to see the Adirondacks in full colour!

FYI This was a pilot project that has been hugely successful. As a result Alex was able to get an extension up to and including Columbus Day weekend!

There is an 80ft elevation difference between Lake Clear and Saranac Lake. I highly recommend the downhill option! We only had to pedal about 25% of the time as there is a nice grade downhill going from Lake Clear (Charlies Junction) to Saranac Lake.
