Re: First timer

Welcome Kevin! There are no places to eat on any of the connected waterways. Site 175 works well for a boat. You cannot leave your vehicle and boat trailer at the boat launch. Ask a friend to help? You can watch sunsets right from the ponds (the narrows is a good spot) or head out onto Upper Saranac...

Re: Verizon Cell Service

2 bars LTE on site 251. Works better than on site 207. Speed is always better early am before other campers get on. Gets a bit slow if the campground is fully or on crap weather days.

Re: Verizon Cell Service

Hi Callie,

Service is better than about 3 years ago. LTE is available. What site on the peninsula loop? It will vary there. I have Verizon so I can bike over and check your site.

Re: Site 3?

My dock project can be found at http://www.fishcreekpond.com/dockproject.php . I have tweaked it over the years to make it easier to transport and lightened it a bit with permanently installed fence boards instead of deck board sections and added and addition an additional triangle section for our h...

Re: Site 3?

Water is approx 3ft deep 25ft from shore. Bottom is a bit mucky after 10feet or so. Small step down from shoreline.

Re: Site 3?

I’ll boat over and check the depth a bit later (I’m on 207 right now). Cheers!

Hickok’s doesn’t rent motor boats or motors. See http://www.fishcreekpond.com/marina.php

I've also noted to reshoot site 151 for NY State Campsite Photos when I am there next time.

Re: Site 151 for Boat?

I can confirm that the shoreline of 151 is clear. Some of the birch trees are still there but pushed aside so shouldn’t be an issue with your boat. I’ll post photos later if I get a chance.

Re: Site 151 for Boat?

Can’t say for sure if they are still there. Generally any trees that fall are left as is. Sometimes smaller trees like those birch ‘get moved or sometimes cut’ by other campers although they aren’t supposed to be touched. I see if my friend can get a photo for you.

Roger Hickok RIP

Just an update on Hickok's Boat Livery. Sadly Roger Hickoks passed away while at his home in Florida on May 6th. He had been dealing with many serious health issues and according to his wife passed away in his sleep. His wife Lynn is back home and plans some kind of memorial service this summer. His...

Re: Looking to buy solar panels

I have a ZAMP 80W panel these days for our 13ft Scotty. All that is required really as we don't have a fridge in the trailer. The ZAMP are not cheap but it folds in half for much easier storage than the full size panels and it has full metering on it so I now what the heck is going on power wise. Us...
